This is the frontal view of a Leatherback Turtle skull.
The skull looks rather robust and has a very large nasal cavity.

The Leatherback Turtle is the only species classified in the Dermochelys genus as it is the only extant turtle to not have a hard carapace.

The Leatherback Turtle is one of the largest known species of turtle in existence today.
This turtle can be easily identified by its lack of a hard shell. Instead the turtle’s carapace is covered by its own skin.

The Leatherback Turtle can be found in almost every ocean excluding the Arctic and North Pacific Oceans.
