baby turtles hatched at Matura, Trinidad. These turtles were later released and swam off into the ocean. Local rangers here say 1 in 100 turtles are estimated to survive to maturity and return to Matura to nest after 15 to 20 years. What happens to them, and where they go whilst they go from this size to laying size is still unknown!
